French Coin Necklace • Republique Francaise Medal

This vintage French Republique Coin, minted by the Paris Mint in 1893, has been artfully reinterpreted and reimagined. Its face is adorned with a helmet-clad, cuirassed bust of the Republic, crowned with a laurel branch. Its reverse features a globe alongside an anchor, with a trophy of arms and flags in the backdrop.

This medal was a commendation presented in recognition of "military services in the colonies, derived from involvement in war operations in a colony or protectorate nation."
