Victorian Lion Locket
Roaring lions traditionally are seen as a symbol of power, prestige and courage. This locket features a side profile of a lion roaring with his mane curling down the side of the locket. The lion has a green paste stone in the mouth, with 4 clear stones highlighting his mane. The reverse side of the locket features the monogram "AD".
The locket was made by Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, they produced mostly lockets in Attleboro, Ma. Circa 1899 - 1930s
This piece has been attached to a 17" rosary chain to give this piece a modern day feel!

** Please take a moment to view the accompanying video, as the front of the locket may show slight signs of wear where the gold has gently faded. However, this is hardly noticeable when the locket is worn.
