Carnelian Intaglio Necklace

We are loving the ancient and modern combination of this beautiful carnelian intaglio pendant.

Carnelian is the reddish-orange version of chalcedony. The stone on this pendant has been carved inwards, in the classic intaglio fashion, with the profile of a Roman Soldier.

This piece makes for a great layering necklace. We have given it a modern day feel by adding it to a 18" satellite chain.
